Kid Counselor is a great, wintery ambient noise track for your frrrrigid fuckin ears' delight. The song perfectly soundtracks a scene in which a lone character wanders hopelessly across a desolate snow-covered field, shivering and lost and terrified. As the last half of the tune builds momentum, so does the wind and snow, and as the drumming and strumming build strong, our lonely wanderer picks up speed. Now he's running, towards something distant but finite, and all is not lost in the end.
I don't know about you but I get a little taste of that near-hypothermia desperation every time I walk from the train to my apartment. And this song soundtracks it perfectly.
