There are a ton of great indie Christmas songs coming out lately. These two come from the rad crew over at WFMU.Moon Duo - "Silver Bells"
Wooden Shjips - "O Tannenbaum"
Moon Duo is the newer project - not necessarily a duo, and not necessarily from the moon - of Wooden Shjips vocalist/guitarist Erik "Ripley" Johnson along with Sanae Yamada. In continuing a tradition of holiday giving Wooden Shjips began last year by giving out a free psychedelic Christmas cassette which contained covers of "O Tannenbaum" (above) and "Auld Lang Syne," they have realeased an even better Xmas psych single via Moon Duo.
